Every year, as the summer fades into autumn, Derek is haunted by "Black Tuesday"—the day he received the call from his doctor confirming he had Stage 4 cancer. The imagery of Halloween and the changing season only deepened those triggers. In this episode, Derek shares how writing "The Fall" became a way to reclaim this time of year from the grip of his PTSD.
