 धरती के महान शासक पृथ्वीराज चौहान का जन्म 1149 मे हुआ. पृथ्वीराज अजमेर के महाराज सोमेश्र्वर और कपूरी देवी की संतान थे. पृथ्वीराज का जन्म उनके माता पिता के विवाह के 12 वर्षो के पश्चात हुआ. यह राज्य मे खलबली का कारण बन गया और राज्य मे उनकी मृत्यु को लेकर जन्म समय से ही षड्यंत्र रचे जाने लगे, परंतु वे बचते चले गए. परंतु मात्र 11 वर्ष की आयु मे पृथ्वीराज के सिर से पिता का साया उठ गया था, उसके बाद भी उन्होने अपने दायित्व अच्छी तरह से निभाए और लगातार अन्य राजाओ को पराजित कर अपने राज्य का विस्तार करते गए.
