About this listen

Nikki Hutchinson is a White Belt based in County Down, and has been on a massive weight loss journey, supported by walking to the gym and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Having more mindfulness, for calorie consumption as well as for Jiu Jitsu is important to many of us, Nikki shares her story.

As a single parent, Nikki has found her own identity in training BJJ. Throughout her journey as a White Belt she has grown her motivation and dedication for the sport. Having a childhood inspiration of 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' has enabled Nikki to feel like she is now living out her dreams on the mats! Having future goals for ourselves is one of the most fundamental aspects of learning BJJ, and noting small wins along the way is something that keeps Nikki going!
