• Barrett Baber Keeps Showing Up: The Journey from The Voice to Platinum Songwriter
    Dec 21 2025

It takes more than luck to make it in the music business. It’s an industry that will knock you down far more than it will lift you up. But Barrett Baber isn’t one to stay down for long.

From surviving a plane crash, to having the courage to leave a job he hated — and then leaving a job he loved to bet on himself on The Voice — Barrett has built a career by doing one thing, over and over again: showing up.

Now a certified platinum songwriter, including co-writing “Nothing On You” for Cody Johnson, Barrett shares how he’s taken every curveball life has thrown his way, figured out how to keep moving forward, and trusted the process even when the outcome was anything but guaranteed.

What We Talk About in This Episode

    • Life before The Voice — teaching, faith, responsibility, and early setbacks
    • Why Barrett understood The Voice as an opportunity, not a shortcut
    • Leaving stability (twice) and betting on himself
    • What really happens after the spotlight fades
    • The Nashville grind: writing rooms, rejection, and patience
    • Using AI as a tool without losing the human heart behind the music
    • Writing “Nothing On You” and reaching platinum success
    • The mindset that’s carried him through it all: Keep showing up!

  • Stop Waiting to Be Extraordinary: How Melissa Grace Became the Author She Always Knew She Could Be
    Dec 16 2025

Melissa Grace always wanted to be a writer. But for years, she believed writer was a title reserved for extraordinary people — and she thought she was ordinary.

So she did what many of us do. She pursued other paths. Tried different things. Kept her dream quietly on the shelf.

Then 2020 arrived. Grief, isolation, and the impending loss of her grandmother changed everything. Needing somewhere to put her energy — and her heart — Melissa started writing.

Fast forward to today, and Melissa Grace has written seven books.

In this episode of Drink More Water, Amanda and Melissa talk about grief and what it teaches us, the courage it takes to begin before you feel ready, and the moment you stop disqualifying yourself from the life you want. Because extraordinary people aren’t born that way — they’re ordinary people who decide to claim the dream and do the work.

  • Astrology Might Not Be What You Think It Is (with Brad Williams)
    Nov 20 2025

When Amanda took Brad Williams’ leadership astrology assessment, everything clicked: past conflicts, corporate frustrations, creative strengths, and why she’s impulsively moved across the world and around the US multiple times. Amanda and Brad break down Amanda's assessment results, including the growth challenges she never wanted to admit out loud and why this framework could have saved her years of corporate frustration.

Brad joins the show to break down why astrology isn’t about “what’s going to happen,” but who you already are -- and how to use that truth to communicate better, lead better, and live with more grace.

  • Women Knew Breast Implant Illness Was Real...Dr. Nicholas Tarola Believed Them
    Nov 17 2025

In 2019, my health was a mess. I couldn't figure it out. Doctors couldn't figure it out. I started piecing things together, and with the help of a Facebook group (Breast Implant Illness and Healing by Nicole), I thought my health issues might be due to Breast Implant Illness. Thanks to the other women who had spoken highly of Dr. Tarola, I made an appointment with Tarola Plastic Surgery.

This episode is my journey with BII, Dr. Tarola's experience with patient success stories after he removed their implants, and a few other fun topics related to plastic surgery and what options we have to look and feel our best.

Dr. Tarola gave me my life back, and it is my hope that this episode will be a rally cry for women to advocate for ourselves and for more doctors to trust women the way Dr. Tarola does.

To all of the women sharing their BII stories, THANK YOU. You changed my life. It's a privilege to have a platform to pay it forward.
