How to Reclaim Your Voice, Set Boundaries, and Live Authentically

In this honest and empowering episode, Audrey Alice dives deep into the tangled roots of people pleasing—especially in the wake of divorce. With vulnerability and boldness, she unpacks the lifelong patterns that kept her small, how those habits showed up in her marriage and motherhood, and what it took to finally start choosing herself. If you’ve ever said “yes” when you meant “no,” stayed silent to keep the peace, or lost yourself in the pursuit of keeping everyone else happy, this episode is for you.

    The People-Pleasing Pattern
Audrey begins by naming the core beliefs that fuel people pleasing—from childhood conditioning to societal expectations around being “good,” polite, and selfless. She shares how this showed up in her own life and the toll it took on her sense of identity.

What Divorce Teaches You About Boundaries
Post-divorce, people-pleasing tendencies can either intensify or collapse under the weight of self-discovery. Audrey walks through her own process of redefining boundaries, reclaiming her voice, and learning to prioritize what she wants and needs.

    Permission to Be Too Much
There’s power in taking up space. Audrey unpacks the inner work it takes to move from “I don’t want to disappoint anyone” to “I refuse to disappoint myself.” She shares how she stopped minimizing her needs to make others comfortable and started living unapologetically.

Healing the Inner Child Who Needed to Be Liked
This episode also touches on the spiritual and emotional healing involved in becoming a “recovering” people pleaser. Audrey explores the ways reiki, breathwork, and somatic practices supported her in releasing guilt and embracing wholeness.

Practical Tools for People Pleasers in Recovery
Audrey closes with tangible tools to support listeners ready to step out of people-pleasing mode—including journaling prompts, affirmation practices, and real-life scripts to help say “no” with love and self-respect.

If you’ve been called “too much,” if you’ve been told you’re crazy, or if you’ve silenced your magic to make others comfortable—this one’s for you. I hope it gives you permission to stop fitting in and start fitting out. The world doesn’t need a watered-down version of you. It needs all of you. Tell me how you're reclaiming your space and belonging to yourself again. I'm here for every loud, wild, free, authentic piece of it.

  • Episode 15 - Child Support
    May 4 2025
Let’s Get Real About the Feelings, Stories, and Energetics of Child Support In this raw and unfiltered episode, Audrey dives deep into one of the most emotionally charged and commonly misunderstood topics of post-divorce life: child support. Whether you're the one paying it or receiving it, child support often brings with it layers of guilt, shame, resentment—or all of the above. Audrey opens up about her personal journey and the stories she sees in her coaching clients, shedding light on how to transform your relationship with money, parenting, and support into one rooted in gratitude, abundance, and neutrality. Emotions and Energetics of Money Audrey begins by revisiting the emotional and energetic weight money carries, especially during and after divorce. She reflects on societal taboos, childhood conditioning, and the often uncomfortable energy we hold around discussing and receiving money. Through breathwork and presence, she invites listeners to soften their shoulders and arrive at a neutral state with money as a starting point. Redefining Child Support Through Gratitude Instead of framing child support with guilt or resentment, Audrey reframes it as a beautiful system designed to ensure stability for children. She encourages listeners—especially those receiving support—to shift from shame to gratitude, recognizing child support as a vehicle that allows them to be more present, grounded, and available for their kids during a transformative time. Healing the Shame Around Receiving Audrey shares how her own experience with shame around receiving child support stifled her creativity and voice for years. By learning to fully receive—compliments, help, and money—she was able to step into her purpose, build her business, and reconnect with abundance. This segment is a powerful reminder that our ability to receive directly affects the abundance we allow into our lives. For the Parent Paying Support Addressing the other side, Audrey offers compassion and a powerful mindset shift for those paying child support. Instead of framing it as a loss or burden, she offers affirmations and new language around generosity and contribution—inviting listeners to see themselves as active, abundant supporters of their children’s well-being, even from a distance. Make It Neutral. Make It Beautiful. Audrey invites listeners to find neutrality. Child support is not good or bad—it’s simply a thing that happens. The stories we attach to it are what create emotional weight. She challenges listeners to ask: “How is this belief serving me?” and offers a new lens: each payment, each dollar, is putting food on the table, gas in the car, and security in your children’s lives. And that is a beautiful thing. Mamacita, I see you. I love you. I am you. Whether you’re receiving child support or paying it, you are doing the best you can. You are supporting your children, and that is sacred. If you’ve been holding shame, resentment, or guilt—please know you can release it. You can rewrite your story starting now. I’m so proud of you for showing up, for being in this space, and for doing the work. Divorce doesn’t break you—it transforms you. And you, my love, are becoming your best self, day after day, breath after breath. Love you. See you next time. Join the Divorced AF Community! Love this episode?
