Rabbi Abraham Unger, Ph.D., is the founder and leader of Tikvah’s Millstone Scholars program and the founding head of Emet Classical Academy. Within one year, Emet opened both a middle school and high school to become one of Manhattan's most competitive private schools. With a diverse background in education, he has served as a university professor, Hebrew school principal, campus rabbi, and middle school teacher, creating various Jewish youth and outreach programs. Formerly a Professor at Wagner College and a campus Hillel Rabbi, Rabbi Unger also held research positions at NYU and Fordham University. He is the author of three books and numerous articles. He earned his Ph.D. from Fordham University and Rabbinical ordination from Telz-Stone Kollel in Israel. Rabbi Unger’s broad experiences inform his commitment to preparing students for excellence in all aspects of life.
