After no activity on the Draft night, the Denver Nuggets pulled a couple of big moves at the start of free agency: Traded Michael Porter Jr. and a pick for Cam Johnson, and Dario Šarić for Jonas Valančiūnas. They topped those moves by signing Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. to veteran minimum contracts. Just as Nuggets fans started enjoying what seemed like the best off-season of the Jokić era, a report emerged about Big Val trying to get out of his contract and sign a multi-year one overseas.
