Sleeping Beauty wasn't a hit when it came out in 1959. It's not as popular or critically acclaimed as movies like Snow White or Cinderella. It's probably best remembered today for its villain more than anything else. That's a bit of a shame, as it's actually perhaps the most gorgeous animated feature from Disney's classic age.
