About this listen
Foodies, today and running through Sunday, the Novi Taco Fest is serving up more than 30 taco trucks at Twelve Mile Crossing. Expect Latin music, margaritas, Lucha Libre wrestling, Mexican dancing, fun yard games, and the city's hottest hot pepper eating contest. If Greek food is your jam, the Taste of Greece Festival still has plenty of Mediterranean eats and live music through Sunday at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Plymouth. There’s traditional dancing, artisans, and a marketplace with tons of Greek treats.
Music fans aren’t left out: tonight, We Came As Romans rocks The Fillmore at 7 PM as part of their Bad Luck Tour, all ages welcome. Meanwhile, Simple Plan keeps their 25th anniversary rolling with the Bigger Than You Think tour, also tonight. At the LIV Golf Michigan Team Championship at The Cardinal at Saint John’s, Imagine Dragons will light up the evening with an electrifying show.
For those who love arts and crafts, the Michigan Made Festival continues at Canterbury Village Saturday and Sunday, a massive showcase of local Michigan artists, crafters, microbreweries, and gourmet eats. All that creativity, right at your fingertips.
Looking for something unique? SW Fest packs Roosevelt Park with music, art, food, and local culture all day Saturday, a community celebration for all ages. Or drop by the Councilwoman Johnson’s District 4 Health Fair at the Wellness Center on Conner Street from 10 to 2 if you want to invest in your well-being, chat with health professionals, or connect with community resources.
As Sunday rolls in, summer’s festivals continue with the Dragon on the Lake Festival in Lake Orion for dragon boat races and lakefront arts, and the Plymouth UnFair with local poets and performers.
And there’s still more: the Motown-inspired Drey Skonie and the Klouds close out SummerFest at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms this Wednesday at 7:30 PM.
