1970'de üniversiteye başlayan, 1978'den bu yana da kerpiç malzemesi ve yapı teknolojileri adına çalışan kerpic.org platformunun kurucusu Prof. Dr. Bilge Işık ile 1995'te İTÜ kampüsünde örnek olarak yapılan 'TÜBİTAK 622' isimli yapının 1999 depremini hasar almadan atlatmış olmasının 30. yılı onuruna gerçekleştirilen konferansı üzerinden malzemeyi, yapı tekniklerini, depreme dayanıklı ve sürdürülebilir bir öneri olarak kerpici konuşuyoruz.
