Una ostomía es un procedimiento quirúrgico en el que se realiza una apertura en la piel para conectar con un órgano hueco, como el intestino o la vejiga. Se calcula que, en España, hasta 100.000 personas podrían estar ostomizadas y vivir con el condicionante de una bolsa adherida a su estoma, que así se llama este orificio.
Hoy vamos a hablar de lo que significa vivir con una ostomía. Y lo vamos a hacer desde tres miradas: la psicológica, la social y la nutricional. Para ello nos acompañan tres trabajadores de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer: Sara Anaya, psicóloga de la sede de La Rioja; Paulino González, trabajador social de la sede de Cantabria; y Marina Morato nutricionista de la asociación.
