Day 228 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. 2 Chronicles 5:2-7:10 describes the glorious dedication of Solomon's Temple, with priests, Levites, and musicians leading worship. God's presence fills the temple as a cloud. Solomon offers a heartfelt prayer and sacrifice, and fire from heaven consumes the offerings. God appears to Solomon, affirming His covenant and warning of consequences for disobedience. In 1 Corinthians, Paul warns believers to flee from idolatry, drawing a clear line between the Lord's Supper and idol feasts. Paul stresses the importance of doing everything for God's glory and not causing others to stumble. He ends by urging followers to imitate him as he imitates Christ.
