About this listen

The guys from Dawgman.com - Kim Grinolds, Chris Fetters, and Scott Eklund - had a little bit of a debate over which side of the football had the best of it on Day 8. One thought it was a day for the offense, while the other two thought the defense was still on top as they have been for all of spring ball. The main talk in the first half of the recap pod was about the offense, and especially the receivers and running backs. And then after a quick break they moved over to the defensive side of the ball to talk about some of their standout performers. Scott then offered a quick update on who the Huskies are planning to host this weekend for unofficial visits to coincide with Saturday morning's practice, and then talk turned to the transfer portal. Only long snapper Cameron Warchuck has publicly put his name in; we expect to see more before the portal window closes on April 25. It means a lot of UW players that are unsure about their future will be faced with making a decision without as much information as they would like, considering spring football doesn't end at Washington until May 2. And, as Scott reveals, there's another aspect to the portal and those potentially entering it that may throw an unforeseen wrench into the whole works.
