    Jul 22 2025

    Hey y'all!

Today's episode features sober bartender and non-alcoholic beverage expert and ambassador, Björn Taylor. Based in Austin, Tx, Björn is known for shaping award-winning beverage programs in ATX's top venues like Otoko, Emmer & Rye, and Midnight Cowboy.

Since getting sober over five years ago he has become a passionate advocate for wellness and mindful hospitality. Recently, he's helped open Uptown Sports Club and The Equipment Room at Hotel Magdalena in Austin. Björn is a newly minted rep for Oddbird wines, as well.

Björn is a golden resource for anyone looking to learn more about the non-alc beverage market or upscale their hospitality to better serve the growing consumer base of non-drinkers.

If you are someone working in the bar or restaurant industry I highly encourage you to check out Ben's Friends, a recovery support community specifically tailored to those in the hospitality industry.

    Hey y'all!

I'm excited to bring you Devin Noir's sobriety story in this brand new episode!

Devin is the owner and artist of Devil May Cry Tattoo in Bushwick, BK. He has over 11 years of sobriety and shares his journey with profound honesty and vulnerability.

After a near death experience Devin got a second chance and hasn't been the same since. He is a big believer in working the steps and the power of surrendering his life over to God, or as he calls it, HP.

I think this episode will be inspiring for those who find a lot of solace in the spiritual nature of life, those who have been to or are considering inpatient treatment options, and those who grew up feeling like they suffered from "terminal uniqueness," never quite belonging anywhere.

Follow Devin on IG @devilmaycrytattoo and hit him up if you want to connect in the NY area or maybe get some fresh ink!!

    Hey y'all!

I'm so excited to share my conversation with mega-talented creative artist, Apryl Jones. Apryl is an actor and singer based in Los Angeles, CA who has appeared in productions like The Comeback with Taye Diggs, I Got A Story To Tell on BET, and Tyler Perry's The Oval.

Apryl just celebrated one year of sobriety in June of this year, so we dove into what led her to her choice to get sober, how she did it, and how it's changed her.

We talk about the grief of losing a parent, the glow-up that comes with ditching booze for good, the shift in relationships and social circles when we stop drinking, and how Apryl is navigating the entertainment industry with her newfound focus on healing and wellness.

I loved this chat so much and I just know that there are golden nuggets of inspiration in here for so many people. Apryl is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I hope you enjoy this episode!
