  • Denny Specter Masterclasses: Career vs Entrepreneurship (w Rodgers Nyanzi and Ronald Musiimenta moderated by Gloria Shammah)
    Dec 13 2022

More and more people are growing dissatisfied at their jobs. On the other hand entrepreneurship is at an all time high but most of those companies started fail within the first year or first couple of months or years. Why is that so? What's the right way to start off a career? Which is the right way to go?
By the way, none of it all is as portrayed on TV and in the movies. They both require real work and do take a toll on the pursuant. It not all parties, roses, money and "soft life".

Most people have the drive to play by our own rules, to live by our own terms and only do what we love demonstrated early on by the stubbornness kids display to the strong willed attitude of young adults.

A good section of us will argue that to fulfill this desire we have to be our own bosses is to actually be our own Bosses even though it may not be as glorious at first but at least you will have a certain sense of fulfillment knowing you're chasing after something you want & love. Same could be said about chasing a career and curving out a name for yourself or side gig or building yourself up as brand with all the tools available to us s/o Tubayo, Fiverr, Waape, Upwork, LinkedIn, Ensibuuko, SafeBoda, Vvuga, Glovo, Jumia Group, Motokar, Supeedi (Speed), Eight Twenty Kitchens, Tubayo Market Day, Social Media, Counsel by Denny Specter, Outbox Uganda, Y Combinator, Startup Uganda, The Innovation Village, Norrsken East Africa, NSSF Hi-innovator, Stanbic Bank Uganda Business Incubator, TotalEnergies Startupper of the Year Challenge, Denny Specter Open Business Challenges, Founder Institute, and so much more.
