Rachel Mains talks with the Executive Director of Longer Tables, Tim Jones, on this episode of Corner Cafe Radio. He's spreading his positive influence with his nonprofit, Longer Tables.

    What is Longer Tables?

We bring people from all walks of life together to create connection and belonging through meals, because humans flourish when they feel seen, known and included. We envision thriving and healthy cities, companies and neighborhoods where all people - no matter their story, background or identity - are connected, seen and feel like they belong. In a culture of growing polarization, a soaring mental health crisis and a nation where every two out of five people report feeling isolated and alone, we know the work of breaking down barriers is vital.

  • How did God deliver you from addiction and from getting sentenced to 20 years in prison? How did God deliver you from add
    Jul 2 2025

Rachel Mains talks with Curtis Barb, the author of Rebel Redeemed: The Tangled Tale of a Repeat Offender.

Curtis Barb was a born rebel. Ask his God-fearing, long-suffering single mother. He ditched school in the second grade, committed petty crimes just for the thrill of it, and was addicted to alcohol and weed at thirteen. "My moral compass was compromised, and I fed on anything outrageous and exhilarating," he said. After seventeen years of destroyed relationships, treatment programs, second-third-fourth chances, and incarceration, Curtis came to the end of himself and the redemption that was his only, final, forgiven way out to LIFE.

Dr. Leanna Cinquanta is on this upcoming show. Leanna is a philanthropist, motivational speaker, business woman, equestrian and the founder of two organizations, WIN and WIN Life, based in Colorado, USA. Leanna remembers her father looking into her face and saying "You can do anything you want to if you want do do it bad enough!" Her life is a testimony of this truth. Her faith taught her to fly a plane when she was nine years old and her mom, Kathy, home-schooled her until high school. By age fourteen, she has helped her parents design and build four homes. By sixteen, with a handicapped horse and very little instruction, she became the youngest rider in her region to win a national equestrian championship. At age fifteen, Leanna had a personal experience with Jesus and became a committed follower of Christ. In 1996, she went to northern India and began living directly with the native people in the small towns and villages. She subjected herself to the rigors of a developing nation, including drinking putrid water from the village wells and surviving on rice and lentils. Seeing her love and willingness to live like one of them, the native people gave her the name, "Jyoti" saying "you brought light and hope into our difficult lives." In 1997, Leanna founded the organization that would become WIN to share the love of Christ and to provide education and a brighter future to needy children. Today, 22 years later, that work has resulted in hundreds of thousands of live transformed. The story is now a book titled Treasures in Dark Places. With the founding of WIN in 2019, Leanna is following the heart of God to ignite hope, healing, and transformation across entire communities and nations.

  • How Have You Managed to Stay Positive In the Midst of Challenges?
    May 29 2025

    About Linda:

I am a singer-songwriter that has been in the business since I was 15. My style is primarily blues rock, but also influenced by other genres including folk and a bit of country.

Traveling throughout the United States I have led several bands while playing bass guitar and acoustic guitar. Less than half way through my career, I was diagnosed with MS, Multiple Sclerosis, which has put me in a wheelchair and taken my ability to play instruments. Maybe a bit crazy but, that is not stopping me! I continue to write, sing and perform in the United States and Europe with world-class musicians, which has included, lead guitarist Jock Bartley from the band Firefall, saxophonist Philip McClard (who was formerly with Chris Daniel & the Kings), Dutch violinist, Siard de Jong, from Amsterdam and Dublin born whistle, wind modulator & clarinet player, Mark Gilligan. My daughter Jessica joins me on guitar and vocals. We have received attention from The National and International MS Societies and organizations.

We performed in Chicago for the National MS Society's Annual Conference, and the DNC (Democratic National Convention) in 2008 in Denver. 2009 we traveled to Amsterdam where we performed at the famous Paradiso and two other cities in Holland. In 2010 we were asked to perform for the 20th anniversary of the ADA (Americans Disability Act) at the Denver Botanical Garden's.
