Hello everyone! We are back with our news ep for April. Yes it's belated and we apologize for the delay but hope you enjoy it nonetheless. In this episode we talk about some conservation news, zoo news, and of course beluga news!

This week we've got another episode of the newses! Beluga news, zoo news, policy & conservation news its all here this week as we settle into this new schedule!

This week CQ Emily requested that we all try to come up with animals she has never heard of and present them. Learning about animals is one of our favorite pastimes so we all happily obliged. Come on a journey with us as we learn about a new bug, bird, small mammal & primate!

Ever watch that one Spongebob episode and wonder what actually is hibernation? Were you told as a child that hibernation is just when animals go to sleep for the entire winter? Well don't worry the Conservation Queens are here to clear up what exactly hibernation and torpor are! Join us as we discuss different animals who experience these scientific phenomena and what exactly happens during the process.  

This week we take a look at "monogamy" in the animal kingdom, including some examples of true monogamy, and some ~squishier~ examples. Don't miss CQ Emily's rant about puffins, penguins and seahorses too!

The Conservation Queens are back after a 6 month hiatus with some current events! We are so happy to be back making some episodes for you all, let us know what you want to hear next!

Thanks to a listener's awesome suggestion we will be discussing the broad topic of ecotourism, what it means, what to look out for, and all the pros and cons that go with it! 

In this episode the queens take a look at the 7 Leave No Trace principles and how to apply them. We look into how Leave No Trace go it's start, and how it is implemented in parks and other recreation sites here in the US. We also look at how to use the LNT principles in everyday life!
