    In this episode, Nurse Marco shares his professional journey and the path that led him to become an aesthetic nurse and nurse injector. From his beginnings as a Registered Practical Nurse to advancing his education as a Registered Nurse, his career has taken him through diverse roles—including working on the nursing resource team as a float nurse, in the operating room, in the emergency department, and as an agency nurse—before transitioning into aesthetic nursing full time.


    We discuss his experiences in nursing education, his perspective on the profession, and his transition into entrepreneurship. Nurse Marco offers insights into work–life balance, the realities of starting a business, and the sacrifices required to pursue professional goals. He also shares his passion for helping people build confidence through aesthetic nursing and what he values most about running his own practice.

    February 2025 already?! Here with Jessica Registered Nurse for eight years, shares her experience as a resource team/float nurse here in Toronto. She provides us with her experience as she worked through her masters degree to work now as a Professional Practice and Simulator Coordinator at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has a had a wide range of practice in acute care in the hospital and she tells us her story during COVID, how she battled through depression and what helped her with her mental health. Being away from the stress of those years and channeling her inner joy in dance she was able to thrive in the arts and her first love in dance. Join us as we talk about the importance of mental health, using physical activity and dance as way to battle depression and express yourself. With 4 years of experience in the Neuro ICU, and 4 years as a nurse practitioner in Cardiac surgery, she has now transitioned into her role of a nurse manager. We discuss what inspired her to work as a healthcare worker and why she has moved forward through her career taking on different leadership roles.     This is part of 2 of 3 of the nurse practitioner series. I have a special guest with me, Dalena. A seasoned emergency nurse for a decade, she talks about her experience starting from a new grad, on to the different departments of emerge. She talks the different roles she had ranging from triage, and what its like being a charge nurse. We talk about her growth and transition and why she became a nurse and what lead her to purse to become a nurse practitioner. From being uncertain of what she wanted to be, to staying the course in nursing, we share stories of being a new graduate and feeling the pressure. Currently, a nurse practitioner and working with a vulnerable group of homeless population, we get an insight on her role in harm reduction with her clients. The outreach clinic has provided care for this vulnerable population and Dalena explains what caring for them means to her. As humans we all look for ways to connect with others, and people in vulnerable sector are no different. We look for acceptance and hope for a better life.     On this week's episode, I am sitting down with Nisa who, with 4 degrees, a business owner, and a nurse practitioner achieving it the highest level has gone through a roller coaster ride. She navigates us in her journey in nursing. We dive into her schooling and her experience in university and how family support is such a factor through out her life. She talks about the detours, life events that shaped her to be relentless in her pursuit to become a nurse practitioner. With near death experiences, she was able to adjust and overcome the challenges life threw at her. Either being placed as a charge nurse with little experience, or starting a new business entirely, Nisa shares her what she has learned. If you ever feel when things are impossible we’re reminded that we are more resilient than we think we are. Nisa shares her life story in the hopes that like myself, are able inspire many who are in similar situations. Being a nurse during that period was an experience none of us will ever forget. Ralph discusses life during COVID as a nurse and a photographer. This is Ralph’s story of how he got into photography and his influences in life becoming a nurse. He was on the front lines as he worked in a designated COVID unit. We get an insight into how he got into wedding photography before nursing and how his passion for the arts opened new doors as an entrepreneur. He shares stories of how it’s not too late to chase your passion and start your own business. He takes us on what it’s like to balance two separate careers. Joseph gives his advice and what is helping him physically and mentally to get through his first few months as an ICU nurse. We learn about his past, the roadblocks, the challenges and detours he made along the way to get into the nursing program. We talk life, purpose, and really finding yourself in those early twenties and how time really molds us to become resilient. We reflect and share the struggles of a student and how it made us understand that things don’t always go as planned.
