He points out that even Kermit the Frog has given a couple of commencement addresses. Dr. Hall quickly points out that the greatest commencement address of all time is found in the New Testament, John 13-17, the longest single recorded speech of Jesus. Psalm one is used to tell listeners about the consequences of walking with the wicked, standing with sinners and mockers. Dr. Hall reflects on how Jesus would address the graduates in a commencement address in today’s world. He points out that Jesus made promises that go beyond just wishing his followers success.
