About this listen

Because there's far too much to see and do. We're here to help guide you through. We are a married couple with two boys age 9 and 6 talking all things Disney World. This podcast will cover the tips and tricks we've learned along our journey, history of the parks and attractions, and most importantly why and how Disney makes us feel how we do while in the parks and that it's ok to feel that way.

  • Episode #215: The Final Episode: Celebrating Four Years of Disney Adventures
    Jul 23 2025

After 215 episodes of Disney magic, our journey comes to a bittersweet end. In this emotional final episode, we're joined by special guests Johnny, Darth Mouse, and Travel Planner Erica to celebrate four years of Disney adventures while explaining why we're hanging up our Mickey ears.

Life has a way of shifting priorities - between demanding work schedules, family health concerns, and our sons' competitive soccer careers now taking us across the southeastern United States, we've reached a crossroads where something had to give. But this isn't goodbye to Disney - just a pause in how we share our experiences.

We go out with a bang through heated debates about the parks! Would you rather be stuck on It's a Small World for an hour or wait three hours for Flight of Passage? Is Animal Kingdom underrated or the weakest park? Which resort doesn't deserve the hype? We rank everything from quick-service restaurants to nighttime spectaculars, and reveal our most controversial Disney opinions (prepare to be shocked by some hot takes about Figment and Harmonious).

The most meaningful part of this podcast journey has been connecting with fellow Disney lovers and helping others plan magical vacations. Walt Disney's story reminds us that dreams take courage and persistence - which perfectly describes our podcast adventure.

Thank you for being part of our Circle of Parks family. While our regular episodes end here, our Disney journeys will continue, and perhaps someday we'll find new ways to share the magic again. Until then, remember that in the words of Walt himself, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."

  • Episode #214: We Ranked All the Resorts We've Stayed at.
    Jul 16 2025

What makes a Disney resort truly magical? Is it the proximity to the parks, the dining options, the pool, or that indescribable feeling you get when you first walk into the lobby? After staying at 13 different Disney resorts across both coasts, we're finally ready to rank them all—and some of our placements might surprise you!

From the Dolphin's lack of Disney theming to the Grand Floridian's perhaps too-bougie atmosphere, we deep dive into what worked (and what didn't) at each property. Even more surprising? The prestigious Grand Floridian only makes it to the middle of our rankings, while value resort All-Star Movies cracks the top 10 with its immersive Toy Story theming.

As we count down to our top five, we explore what truly creates that magical "we're here" feeling. The Yacht Club dazzles with Stormalong Bay and EPCOT proximity, the Grand Californian offers direct park access with a serene atmosphere, and the Polynesian delivers island vibes with spectacular fireworks views. Wilderness Lodge nearly takes the crown with its breathtaking lobby and peaceful seclusion despite being moments from Magic Kingdom.

But there's one resort that unanimously claimed our #1 spot. Animal Kingdom Lodge transports guests completely to an African safari lodge, with savanna views, cultural immersion, and a fully realized theme unlike anything else at Walt Disney World. From waking up to giraffes outside your balcony to exploring the extensive collection of African art in the lobby, it creates an experience impossible to replicate anywhere else on property.

Whether you're planning your first Disney trip or your twentieth, join us as we break down the pros and cons of each resort we've experienced. Which one will top your personal list?

  • Episode #213: Chef Mickeys Dining Review
    Jul 9 2025

Step into the heart of Disney dining magic as we take you behind the scenes at Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet in Disney's Contemporary Resort. Imagine savoring warm cinnamon rolls (possibly the best we've ever tasted!) while Mickey Mouse himself stops by for a selfie – all with the iconic Disney monorail gliding overhead through the soaring Grand Canyon Concourse.

What makes Chef Mickey's special isn't just the food – though the bountiful breakfast buffet delivers with everything from Mickey waffles to apple-filled beignets and a delicious hash brown casserole. The real magic happens when the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto) make their rounds, creating personal moments with guests of all ages. We were particularly impressed with how attentive the characters were, even circling back to interact with our table when a family member was briefly at the buffet.

Unlike some character dining experiences that can overwhelm with noise and commotion, Chef Mickey's strikes the perfect balance – festive enough to feel special but calm enough to actually enjoy conversations with your travel companions. Characters move efficiently through the restaurant, typically meeting each table within a 15-20 minute window, which means you can focus on both the interactions and your meal without constant interruptions.

At $58 per adult and $37 per child (plus tax and gratuity), this character breakfast represents a significant investment, but the combination of abundant food options, character moments, and the convenience of monorail access to Magic Kingdom makes it a worthwhile consideration for your Disney vacation. Whether you're revisiting a Disney dining tradition or creating new family memories, Chef Mickey's remains one of those quintessential Disney experiences that continues to delight guests decades after it first opened.
