 Christopher Cannan és el responsable de situar el Priorat al mapa vitivinícola mundial. És conegut, principalment, per la seva activitat de comerciant de vins, sap com ha de ser un vi perquè interessi a diverses parts del món. Sap què li agrada al mercat americà i asiàtic. Des del 1997, és també un dels grans elaboradors de vins al Priorat i al Montsant. Al Priorat, amb el seu celler, Clos Figueras, situat a Gratallops, on es va instal·lar després de seguir les recomanacions del seu bon amic René Barbier i al Montsant, com a propietari de Spectacle Vins, l'únic celler d'aquesta regió que fins ara ha aconseguit 99 punts a la llista de Robert Parker.
