  • Cosmic Order Part 1: Nephilim, Giants, and Percy Jackson!
    Sep 27 2024

Today the West languishes in an age of atheistic materialism. The Bible dispels such a repugnant notion, positing the existence and necessity of the supernatural. One topic within the supernatural that has been debated for centuries is that of the Nephilim. In this podcast we talk about that.

  • Nephilim | Why the Bible Commands Genocide
    Sep 8 2024

The Epic of Gilgamesh records a giant which Scripture seems to speak of: Nimrod. Nimrod, one of the "mighty men" as from before the Flood (also called Nephilim), presided over the construction of the Tower of Babel — often considered the Second Fall, for there God pronounced a new curse upon humanity: the division of languages.

All for a tower? Throughout Scripture, God seemingly jumps to apocalyptic-level action in what skeptics claim is "barbaric" and capricious. Actions like the annihilation of Sodom and Gomorrah, the near extinction of life by the Flood, and the genocide of the Canaanites. Even Islam likes to get in on the finger pointing, saying we aren't so different after all!

Unfortunately, many Christian apologists just try to shrug these things off, saying things like "The Canaanite conquest wasn't really a genocide" or "The instructions in 1 Samuel to kill the men, women, and children were just symbolic". Sadly, limp responses like these which don't hold weight under even the most generous of Biblical hermeneutics is unbecoming of the strength of Scripture. And Scripture does have an answer.

Here we try to present that answer — building the Biblical groundwork as we go.
