About this listen
YES... Let's chat a little about a certain well-known café in the Santitham area of Chiang Mai... Café De Sot.
Yes, this 'famous' hang-out, meeting place and chilled café is known for its spacious interior, lovely exterior and probably its reasonably priced drinks also.
That exterior and garden area really has somewhere else to thank. Why? Where? Really?
Well, as far as I'm aware that beautiful green space and water feature etc belongs to the school attached to it... that's the Sotsuksa Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf. I suppose you can't spell Sotsuksa without 'Sot'.
Apparently, this cafe also provides chances for deaf and mute students to learn how to operate a coffee shop and the café also sells products made by the students - such as cookies, other baked items and handcrafted goods.
