La cerca del atrio rectangular del tabernáculo medía 100 codos de largo. En la Biblia, un codo se establece como la distancia que se extiende del codo a la punta del dedo, 45 cm aproximadamente en medidas de hoy. Como tal, el que la cerca del atrio fuera de 100 codos de largo significa que medía 45 m, y que el ancho fuera de 50 codos significa que eran 22.5 m aproximadamente. Así que este era el tamaño de la casa en la cual Dios habitaba entre el pueblo de Israel en el tiempo del Antiguo Testamento.
