约翰福音1:18写道:“从来没有人看见神，只有在父怀里的独生子将他表明出来。”在父神怀里的耶稣化成肉身来到世上，把我们拯救出天下所有的罪孽。没有人用肉眼看见过神。但是，神通过他的儿子向我们显现。子神化成肉身来到世上，作为神的儿子展示自己，出现在人们的眼前。
神对我们说:“除他以外，别无拯救；因为在天下人间，没有赐下别的名，我们可以靠着得救”(使徒行传4:12)。神是说除了神赐给他儿子的名字耶稣之外，没有别的名能把我们拯救出天下的罪孽。耶稣基督是世上惟一的神，他具有救世主的名，能把所有罪人都拯救出罪孽吗？确实如此。耶稣基督是我们人类的救世主，他在世上生活33年，为的是把全人类拯救出所有的罪孽。除了耶稣之外，没有人具有救世主的能力，能把人类拯救出天下的罪孽。
