約翰福音1:18寫道:“從來沒有人看見神，只有在父懷裏的獨生子將他表明出來。”在父神懷裏的耶穌化成肉身來到世上，把我們拯救出天下所有的罪孽。沒有人用肉眼看見過神。但是，神通過他的兒子向我們顯現。子神化成肉身來到世上，作為神的兒子展示自己，出現在人們的眼前。
神對我們說:“除他以外，別無拯救；因為在天下人間，沒有賜下別的名，我們可以靠著得救(使徒行傳4:12)。神是說除了神賜給他兒子的名字耶穌之外，沒有別的名能把我們拯救出天下的罪孽。耶穌基督是世上惟一的神，他具有救世主的名，能把所有罪人都拯救出罪孽嗎？確實如此。耶穌基督是我們人類的救世主，他在世上生活33年，為的是把全人類拯救出所有的罪孽。除了耶穌之外，沒有人具有救世主的能力，能把人類拯救出天下的罪孽。
