About this listen

Episode 1 - Canadian Podcaster Online Magazine - PodSummit, Podcasthon, MowPods, and the Launch of our new Magazine - March 2025

Greetings from Niagara Falls, Ontario and welcome to Canada's newest online magazine for Canadian Podcasters! The intent for this new online magazine is to shine a light on all things podcast related here in Canada. The briming Canadian pride we are seeing currently from overtime goals in Canadian hockey, to conversations on how we as Canadians can make things better within our country, the timing seemed right to bring another opportunity to celebrate Canadian content creators! Thank you for throwing your toque in the ring and connecting with the Canadian Podcaster Magazine.

So, what happens next... The Canadian Podcaster Online Magazine will always be free, like, always, true north strong and free kind of free. I, Dave, the guy emailing you right now will send out a quick recap of what is available within the magazine month to month. No spammy funnels or bait and switch, just a free online magazine for us Canadian Podcasters.

I am putting out a call with this first email to ask for more than just your email, I would love to get your input, submissions and contributions to help this to become an inclusive tool to support the Canadian Podcasting Community - this first edition is like your podcast episode one - good enough to get started, but just as we grow as podcasters through repition, I am eagerly anticipating that this online magazine will find its own unique voice over time. With your feedback and submissions, this resource will grow and improve over time. You can't get to episode 100 in your podcast without episode 1 - so this is our episode 1.

For our first edition, a few call outs! I have highlighted a few podcasting events coming up this year, please let me know about the events that you are aware of so that I can add them to April's upcoming edition! Please check out the mowpopd highlight - this is a fabulous Chartable replacement to see your global Apple top 200 rankings with more features coming very soon (and it is free). I would love more Canadian Podcast recommendations, so please share your favourite Canadian Podcast. Podcasthon is happening this month! Be sure to register your podcast for free and support your favourite charity - as a side bonus, the backlink from the Podcasthon.org website to your podcast website will net you some powerful SEO juice too!

If you have any Canadian Podcaster Classifieds please pass them along! I would love to share resources within Canada to help each other - imagine sending off one of the many unused microphones cluttering up your space to a new podcaster lacking the funds to purchase a new mic! Keep your eye on this section!

Currently our CanadianPodcaster.com website url redirects to our True Media Solutions page, we are building out our new site and this should be ready in the next few weeks.

Check out our companion podcast releasing monthly (for now) because we know podcasters love another podcast to listen to! More on the website as well - drop by for a listen!

Thanks for your interest, I hope to have the honour of connecting with you in person, virtually or via the podcast - thank you for all you do to share your message with the world and for making Canada better because of your podcast

With much gratitude and appreciation!

Dave, Podcast Host, Pizza Fan and Canadian
