Yara Estrada Lowe is a Latina filmmaker, director, writer, and producer.
A talented Latina filmmaker broke barriers and fearlessly stepped into the director's chair, defying the status quo and showcasing her immense talent and vision.
She was born and raised in East San Jose, California. At a young age, she had the passion to work in front of and behind the camera.
In 2008, she decided to just do it! She moved to Los Angeles, started working consistently as an extra/featured extra, and joined SAG in 2010.
Holding multiple jobs on film sets behind the scenes as a script supervisor, first assistant director, and director of over 100 episodes of internet soap opera.
She studied her craft at Play House West and other acting studios and was mentored by Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum.
In 2016, she wrote a screenplay for a feature-length rom com entitled Epic Love.
In 2021, she wrote a feature-length erotic thriller titled Demise. Demise is complete and streaming now in digital and on demand.
