Gà khi mắc bệnh viêm ruột hoại tử xảy ra ở thể cấp tính và mãn tính với các triệu chứng khá giống bệnh APV trên gà bao gồm:

Gà bị xù lông, suy yếu nhanh và gà bị yếu chân hạn chế đi lại.
Tiêu chảy trong nhiều giờ và diễn ra liên tục.
