About this listen

Psalm 119:28 says “My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.”

If life feels like it’s closing in on you, remember the promises God gives you in the Bible to strengthen you.

If you feel weak and overwhelmed, remember that God reminds you in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in your weakness.”

If you feel burdened with family troubles, sickness, or worry, remember that Psalm 34:17 says “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”

If you feel attacked by temptation, remember that 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”

If your heart is broken, remember Psalm 34:18 says “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”

And finally, when you think that you just can’t take anymore, remember

Psalm 34:19 says “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all” while Deuteronomy 33:25 says, “your strength will equal your days.”

That means that however many days God has given you, He’ll give you the strength to make it through each one of them, because He loves you.

Let me pray for you:

Father,

Thank you for your Word and these reminders that you love us, you protect us, and that you are always there for us.

We give thanks for these things in Jesus name, amen.
