The holy rollers (religious leaders) were trying to trip Jesus up and find something to accuse Him of wrongdoing. The crowd following Christ had witnessed extraordinary miracles and they were praising Him to high heaven. The Pharisees wanted Jesus to tell the crowd to be quiet and stop their improper praising. Funny thing, Jesus said if the people are silent the stones would cry.

There are some very hard to understand Bible verses. In today's episode we look at the story of a guy who gets stone for picking up sticks on the wrong day. At first glance the story is about as crazy as crazy can get. It's tempting to think God is smoking something! Nope, He's a perfectly perfect God who always has our best interests in mind. The guy who picked up sticks on the wrong day did something much worse. Let's dive in and see what his dirty deeds actually were. Folks, sticks and stones can indeed break bones!

Target Bible Verses: Numbers 15:22-36, Exodus 20:8-11

Repetition is doing the same thing repeatedly. It can be both good and bad. Jesus talked about vain repetition in Matthew Chapter 6 when He was teaching the disciples about prayer. Repeating Bible verses is a good memory enhancing tool. Doing meaningless things over and over again produces meaningless results.

Some folks go to church every Sunday going through the motions of standing, sitting, kneeling and throwing a few bucks into the offering plate because they've been doing it for years. No relationship, just repetition to complete the weekly task. If you're not going to do something with meaning, it's better not to do it at all. Jesus isn't into half-hearted, lukewarm relationships.

Many gangsters began their gangster careers as preteens. People change. Imagine a woman who made a career out of selling her body for sex turning into somewhat of a hero by selling out the King of her country. Rahab had heard about the God of the Israelites and made a decision to go in the right direction. This is a great story of changed lives - people who boldly made decisions to serve a greater life purpose. This harlot/prostitute became the Great Grandmother of King David and if you keep following the family tree, you'll find this prostitute in the lineage of Jesus. How cool is that! Never give up on anybody because of a dubious past. People can change.

Why did I start Biblebob? This intro will give you a brief glimpse into how this old-head went on a journey through the spiritual valleys and mountains of life. I studied many of the world's holy books and only found one that's proven to be true time and again through every season.

The launch of Biblebob happened at 7,300' on the side of Mt. Elden in the forest of Flagstaff, AZ. Today's episode is called: The Meaning of Life - from Ecclesiastes. "Don't ask why was life better in the 'good old days.'? It is not wise to ask such questions." My friends, today is the best day you've got. Yesterday is over and tomorrow's not guaranteed; this moment right now is all you've got - make it count!

Why was Jesus born in an animals feeding bin? Is there a spiritual meaning found in the feeding bin? It seems like a strange place for a baby to be born - especially a baby whose purpose in life is pretty important. How do we know that Jesus was real? Listen up and let's find out!

Since almost the beginning of time, or at least when the Ten Commandments were handed down, folks have had disagreements about what day is the real Sabbath day. Personally, I like to think of the Sabbath as eight days a week!

It's all about your heart condition and your priorities. Maybe as a kid you always went to church on a Sunday or a Saturday or maybe even a Friday. Does it matter? The 4th Commandment says to keep holy the Sabbath day. It's a day of rest. God rested on the seventh day.

Should everyone in the world rest on the seventh day every week? Methinks that might be as easy as expecting snow to miss Buffalo for a whole winter! Today we'll take a journey into the center of the Sabbath.
