About this listen
In this podcast, I sit down with my sister to talk about what led her to a career in social work. She has a Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas, and she believes her time in church and youth group played a big role in shaping that path. We talk about how her faith inspired her sense of purpose, the challenges and rewards of her work, and what it means to care for others in a meaningful way. Along the way, we take a few detours into childhood memories—like hanging out at both of our grandmothers’ houses and watching Hercules and Homeward Bound on repeat. It’s part interview, part nostalgia, and a look at how the small things in life can lead to something bigger.
