About this listen

Welcome to this weeks’ episode of The Australian Small Business Show!

In todays episode we are featuring a follow up from our conversation last week with Finance Broker Anthony Hopson of Urban Brokers.

Today we are discussing why as a small business owner it’s important to be finance ready at all times, whether you’re planning to seek finance for personal or business use, now or in the future.

The key topics we covered today were:

· Bank and lenders don’t finance chaos, so if your reporting or debt rating is chaotic, it’s going to be challenging;

· Whether you’re lending for business or personal, both matter. The lenders will be checking both when looking at your finance applications;

· Consistent housekeeping is cheaper than emergency clean ups when it comes to your numbers and reporting.

We also shared some of the signs you may not be finance ready including having debts with the ATO or not having lodged BAS or tax returns on time, an inability to produce accurate and consistent reports, and your personal credit score looking like a roller coaster.
