Bar Karate - the Sailing Podcast, Ep304 The Unstoppable Tracy Schmitt

  • Summary

  • Published 13 April 2025

We think this weeks episode may become one of our most listened to of all time. It was a riot. So much fun. Our guest was Tracy Schmitt, one of the competitors in the Hansa World Championships. Tracy is a Canadian, Quadruple amputee. She won a bronze medal in alpine downhill para-skiing at the Ontario Parasport Games and was inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame. Tracy has a long sailing history. She received the Robert W. Jackson Award, Ontario Premier Award, and C-SASIL Lifetime Achievement Award. But most importantly, she showed up wanting to have a good time and we did.
