Stewardship: the responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care

Luke 19:12-13 NIV

12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’“

1. Culture says it’s all for you.

Scripture says it’s all God’s, but available to you.

Psalm 24:1 NIV

1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 NIV

17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
