She is the founder and director of Camino Canicas- a grassroots movement focuses on cultivating trauma-informed expressive arts education and building resilience in the Indigenous communities in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Her project creates a safe space for children who come from under-resourced families affected by trauma, neglect, and alcoholism. She is passionate about creating a creating a culture of care among the future stewards of the planet.
