Die norwegischen Künstler Thomas Kvam und Frode Oldereid arbeiten an der Schnittstelle von Klangkunst, Robotik und bildender Kunst. Für ihre Installation „Requiem for an Exit“, in deren Zentrum ein vier Meter großer Robert mit scheinbar menschlichem Gesicht steht, erhalten die beiden dieses Jahr die Goldene Nica des Prix Ars Electronica in der Kategorie „New Animation Art“.
