About this listen

Walter Callaghan is a PhD candidate in medical anthropology at the University of Toronto. His doctoral research has focused on how people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) understand, explain, and make meaning of their experiences, paying close attention to how society and culture impact mental health. He was drawn to this research as a result of his own experiences as a PTSD survivor directly connected to his previous service as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.
