About this listen
In this episode of Moms Unboxed, I share my eye-opening experience at a country concert called Watershed.
I was deeply concerned by some of the behaviors I heard about some of the young women, particularly when it came to consent and personal safety.
Have you ever been in a situation that was uncomfortable?
Or have you felt obligated to kiss someone you didn't want to?
Hearing about the stories drove home the importance of teaching young women how to advocate for themselves and the absolute necessity of consent in every interaction.
We need to have open conversations about gender norms, body autonomy, and safety so that we can create a safer environment for our young teens and adults.
It's our responsibility as parents to start educating them about these issues now.
Send this episode to other moms, teens, and young adults to start educating our young adults.
