Marijke IJff was 38 jaar werkzaam als seksuoloog, in hulpverlening en onderwijs.
Ze gaf geregeld lezingen bij patiëntenverenigingen.
Toen ze zelf apneu bleek te hebben was de stap naar de ApneuVereniging snel gezet. Inclusief het aanbod om over apneu en seksualiteit te schrijven en te praten.
Dat niet alleen: ze werd lid van de redactie van het ApneuMagazine, later hoofdredacteur en bladmanager. Werd bestuurslid.
Ze stopte als bestuurslid in 2022 en nam eind 2023 afscheid als redactielid van het ApneuMagazine.

Maar het aanbod om over Apneu en seksualiteit te schrijven en te praten bleef. Vandaar deze podcast.
