About this listen

What a day today was: October 30, 2023

Woke up early, 5:30 am, had to try to get the Charlie 2, black cat interested, in a bite of food, and at 6:45 am or so, we got Fred to catch the cat, and put him in cat carrier, and take him into Richmond KY, Humane Clinic, for a surgical procedure.

Well, Fred and Jason ”finally got the cat in the cat carrier”, at around 7:30 am, so off we go, traffic was heavy, as it is the first work day, of the work week.

We got to the Humane Clinic at 8:00 am, just in time, as they stop taking animals at 8:15 for the volunteer Vet., and we got the cat turned in.

So headed back home. Found out as we returned home, a tree limb cracked off last night, out by the road, near the property line and “took down the internet/phone power line”!

No phone or internet during that time frame, and the Humane people tried to call about the cat.

And since the landline was down, they sent an email asking me to call. I returned their call and found out they couldn’t do surgery on black cat today.

It appears, since we had to lure black cat, with a small amount of food, they couldn’t do surgery today.

But they did offer to keep black cat, for this week, and again schedule his surgery next Monday! Yeah! No extra charge, as black cat is still pretty “feral”.

By then it was 11:00 am and the internet folks were repairing the power line, and we finally got the internet back on. They will be back in a day our two, to bury the power line underground, where it should have been originally.

Oh, then as is the often the case in Kentucky, temperatures began to drop from a lovely 60 degrees, to cold rainy day, and by 3:00 pm the temps are down to the 40’s and freeze warning this evening!

And it’s only Monday!!
