Armut im Alter trifft in Österreich hauptsächlich Frauen. Das zeigen die Armutszahlen, die die Statistik Austria kürzlich präsentiert hat, eindrücklich. Vergangenes Jahr waren schon 32 Prozent der alleinlebenden Pensionistinnen armutsgefährdet. Bei den Männern waren es 16 Prozent. Im EU-Vergleich klafft in Österreich eine der größten Pensionslücken zwischen Frauen und Männern.
