Der ehemalige F1-Pilot Alexander Wurz war schon Weltmeister, bevor er in die Königsklasse des Motorsports einstieg: 1986 im Bicycle Motocross (BMX). Zwischen 1997 und 2007 fuhr er 69 F1-Grands-Prix. 1996 und 2009 gehörte er den siegreichen Teams beim 24-Stundenrennen von Le Mans an. Seit 2008 ist Wurz Co-Kommentator beim ORF, seit 2014 Präsident der Fahrervereinigung der Formel 1. Zusätzlich arbeitet Wurz als Streckendesigner im Automobilrennsport.
