About this listen

For episode two Robert Dean, formerly of the groundbreaking band "Japan,"  returns to the podcast. As a guitarist and songwriter, Robert played a pivotal role in shaping the band's innovative sound during the new wave and post-punk era.

Speaking of punk, next is drummer Robert Brian, probably best known for his work with British punk artist Siouxsie Sioux. Additionally, he has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Peter Gabriel, Simple Minds, Andy Partridge, and Herbie Flowers, among others.

We were also expecting two additional guests, Chris Payne and Andy Coughlan (both formerly of the Gary Numan band) but unfortunately, they were unable to join us this time.

However, in this engaging conversation, you'll discover anecdotes about live performances and the mishaps that can occur on stage. My guests share a mutual love of the Beatles, and I ask Robert Dean if he’ll allow me to delve into his Thunderbirds toy collection. Join us for all this and more on the "Always, Never" podcast.
