Artificial intelligence has been around as a technology since the 1950's, and its most recent development with generative AI (GenAI) tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot have thrust decades of research into the spotlight. Just like any tool, attackers can and have been using GenAI tools to enhance their operations to great effect. But security professionals can also leverage GenAI for their own benefit.
