• Palace Win FA Cup, The Henderson Game, Gary Lineker Gone, Europa League Final Preview
    May 20 2025

The year of the cup upsets continued as Crystal Palace won their first major trophy in their history beating Man City 1-0 in Wembley.

In a game with two big VAR calls that were both wrong, Dean Henderson was the star of the show both on and off the pitch.

What next for Man City and for Pep Guardiola as the fizzling out continues.

In a social media storm that you haven't heard about, Gary Lineker 'decided it was best' to step down from his role at the BBC after an accidental controversial emoji.
But really, this has been coming for quite some time.

We cast an eye toward one of the weirdest games of all time as Spurs take on Man United for a chance at Europa League glory, Champions League football and the right to say that wasn't one of the worst seasons in their entire history.

    CONGRATULATIONS WILL AND ORNA

That's right, everyone, it's a solo pod, just me and my hangover after one of the best weekends ever.

Arsenal and Liverpool played a friendly game with not an awful lot on the line for either team. The real story was Trent Alexander-Arnold being booed by the Anfield faithful as he was subbed on in the second half.

Nottingham Forest faces an uphill battle to secure Champo Leagueo next season, having looked nailed on for a top-three place all season. Forrest owner Marinakis decided to let Nuno Espirito Santo know all about how he felt. I discuss the fallout with a special guest.

Elsewhere in Europe, the fourth classic of the season took place with Real Madrid suffering another loss at the hands of Barcelona. Trent Alexander-Arnold will have his work cut out for him next year!

  • Kane Finally Wins, Trent Finally Leaves, Palmer Finally Scores
    May 6 2025

In a surprise to no one, Liverpool weren't fully at their best after their title celebrations as they lost to Chelsea, in a game where Cole Palmer broke his 'cold' streak.

The biggest news in the Premier League this week was probably the official 'here we go' of Trent Alexander Arnold announcing he'd be leaving Liverpool once his contract is up at the end of the season. Galactico summer anybody?

As Harry Kane watched Bayern concede a last minute equaliser to postpone their inevitable title celebrations, there must have been a part of Harry's mind that thought ' oh no it's happening'.

Antony continues his resurgence in Europe, just as we predicted years ago.

There's also a particularly angry comment corner as we've angered the Rogan fanboys and we detail our plans for this years SUMMER POD.

  • Liverpool Are Champions, Salah's Sponsored Selfie, Madrid Copa Crashout, Champions League Preview
    Apr 29 2025

Mercifully, Liverpool finally became mathematical Premier League Champions once and for all to all but wrap up the season.

Arne Slot sang Jurgen Klopps name after the game as red (and blue) flare smoke surrounded the stadium. An amazing job from Slot to win in his debut season, but a title that reflects even better on Jurgen Klopp as he seemed to see the vision before anyone else.

You'd be forgiven for thinking Salah was simply aura farming and trying to create a celebration for the ages as he took a 'fans' phone and took a selfie with the crowd, but on closer inspection it seems that this was actually a new form of marketing that has seeped in to the beatiful game.

Just before Spurs rolled over and allowed Liverpool to score their 15th goal against them this season, Ange Postecoglu had some questions about what the big fuss surrounding 5th place was this year.

The Copa Del Ray El Classico final did not disappoint as Real Madrid crashed out at levels never previously seen before, with probably lengthy bans and a lot of transfer movement to follow in the fallout.

We look toward the Cathal derby as PSG take on Arsenal in the first Champions League semi final leg.

  • Watkins Bitter End, Trent Hangs Up His Jersey, Kevin De Burnley, Listener Q & A
    Apr 23 2025

The Premier League grinds to its ever extending halt, as Liverpool are now just one win away from sealing the title. Meanwhile the battle for 5th is actually getting interesting.

As Man City scored a last minute winner against Aston Villa to propel themselves into third and Aston Villa down to 7th, we can't help but feel for Ollie Watkins who must be (and confirmed actually is) asking what the hell is going on and why isn't he playing?

Not one for shying away from the limelight, Trent Alexander Arnold scored a winner against Leicester to all but seal the title for Liverpool. Cue an interesting celebration that could have been an all time coldest moment..if not for other results.

Kevin De Bruyne has been speaking to the media about how he's leaving Man City, and it turns out someone has been keeping track of everything else he's been saying also. Enter our newest segment.

We put it to YOU the listener to send in some questions for us to answer live on air from the No Nonsense towers.

  • The Return, January Success Stories, Matic's Connections, End the Season Already!
    Apr 15 2025

Cathal is back from his holidays and just in time for all the EXCITING PREMIER LEAGUE ACTION..

On his travels Cathal 'met' a former Premier League footballer and closed one of the longest running cases since the pod began.

Man United lost, Arsenal drew, Liverpool won in dramatic fashion. But honestly what does it all mean and who is still watching when it's sunny out?

Marmoush's impressive goal tally has us recalling some of our other favourite January signings.

The Onana drama had another funny chapter in his ongoing humiliation, this time in a rather confusing instagram story from Matic where he seemed to have the most random selection of Man United jerseys for his son.

A quick check in to see if Ange Postecoglu still manager of Tottenham.

  • Rice-berto Carlos, Arsenal Finally Feel Joy, Onana's Comments
    Apr 9 2025

Cathal is away on his holidays this week which means the dreaded SOLO POD makes its return.

Arsenal beat Real Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final thanks to two Declan Rice free kicks...no really.

It must have felt nice for Arsenal as everything went right including seeing a player on the opposing team suffer a faith they've famously suffered.

It looks like Van Dijk and Salah will be staying at Liverpool as word spreads that their contracts are looking likely to be signed.

Before Man United's Europa League knockout game against Lyon this week, there has been something of a war of words between André Onana and former United midfielder Nemanja Matic.

  • Newcastle Keep the Party Going, Liverpool (almost) Win it Mathematically, Villa the New Leeds, A Familiar Low for Man United
    Apr 3 2025

Summer pod has come early as the sun is shining and the Premier League is basically over once again.

Any hopes of Saka's comeback goal against Fulham sparking some kind of title race chances for Arsenal were dashed just 24 hours later as Liverpool beat Everton in another Merseyside derby to extend their lead at the top.

The heads of Carabao marketing must have looked on in glee as 100's of thousands lined the streets in Newcastle's first trophy parade in 70 odd years, but where oh where could the Geordies go to keep the party rolling?

Things are going well for Aston Villa as their new superstars score for fun while they are going deep in the Champions League. But..is it too good to be true?

Nottingham Forest beat Man United 1-0 thanks to a great goal from another player in a long line of players currently thriving away from their former club - Anthony Elanga. And in their time of need who did Man United turn to? Why Harry Maguire again of course.
