今天，我们阅读了列王纪下第7章全文。亚兰入侵以色列，围困首都撒玛利亚。撒玛利亚被亚兰的军队包围，一切食物的供应都被切断，城里人人因为饥饿面临死亡。所以当时食物价格极高(列王纪下6:25)。即使以色列人平时不吃的野豆和驴头售价也相当高。当时以色列普通工人4天的工资大约一块银币。为了买一斤野豆，工人必须支付20天的工资，一个驴头几乎相当于他们全年的工资。这表明以色列人在当时的物资多么匮乏。
