  • La maratón de Berlín se celebra anualmente desde 1974 en la ciudad de Berlín, capital de Alemania. Junto con las maratones de Boston, Nueva York, Chicago, Londres y Tokio forma parte de las 6 Majors. El recorrido del maratón de Berlín es ideal para batir marcas por su perfil llano y su desnivel máximo de 53 metros sobre el nivel del mar. La salida y la meta están a pocos metros en la larga avenida Grober Stern, que atraviesa el céntrico parque Tiergarten, y durante el recorrido hay muchas calles amplías y curvas poco pronunciadas que facilitan la carrera.
