 Venture back in time with us to 1881, when Mrs. Cecil Halls brother embarked on a farming journey to Manitoba. A year later, Mrs. Hall decided to pay him a visit, leading to an extended stay on the farm that stretched into a long sojourn in Colorado, before she headed back to England as winter set in. During her time there, Mrs. Hall shed her traditional Ladys ways and got her hands dirty - making hay, cooking, painting the barn roof, and performing cleaning duties. Her fresh experiences and the novelty of it all helped her maintain a positive demeanor. These letters, sent back home, offer a unique glimpse into the life and times of Western Canadas early settlers. Its a bit like Little House on the Prairie, but with an English ladys perspective.
