【33萬人朝聖】白沙屯媽祖進香創紀錄!人潮擠爆拱天宮

  • 苗栗白沙屯媽祖徒步進香5月1日正式起程，晚間8點，總統賴清德到場，親自請媽祖出神龕，並致贈匾額「拱昭天佑」，祈願台灣風調雨順、國泰民安。

    今年報名人數高達32萬9118人，創歷史新高，現場空拍畫面紅海一片，場面震撼。進香採「去急回緩」，預計36小時內南下抵達雲林北港，隊伍綿延近20公里。

    活動橫跨苗栗、台中、彰化、雲林等4縣市，全程約400公里，信眾沿途夾道迎駕，感念媽祖庇佑。白沙屯進香最大特色是「無固定路線」，全由媽祖鑾轎決定行程。5月2日凌晨，鑾轎停駕在新埔雲天宮，引來信眾解讀為「以前是三尊媽祖去北港進香，第三尊就是雲天宮的媽祖」。

    白沙屯媽祖進香在2011年3月6日已由文建會正式指定為國家重要民俗文化資產，今年預計5月11日下午3時45分回宮安座。
